
Ilan composed a modern, atonal score to Ralph Fiennes's directorial debut. The film sets Shakespeare's political tragedy of pride, manipulation and betrayal in the modern day, calling for a unique style of composition to compliment the powerful dialogue from the original script.

The Retreat is a psychological thriller staring Cillian Murphy, Thandie Newton and Jamie Bell. The nervous and tense soundtrack features unusual and virtuosic violin solos performed by celebrity violinist Jack Liebeck.

THE FILM
Based on the controversial comic book series, Matthew Vaughn's Kick Ass follows Dave Lizewski, an unnoticed high school kid with a few friends and a love of comic books. His life is not very difficult and his personal trials not that overwhelming until one day, he makes the simple decision to become a superhero even though he has no powers or training.

The score for Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll was produced by Ilan Eshkeri & Steve McLaughlin.
The composer Chaz Jankel was a member of Ian Dury & The Blockheads, the band on which the film is based.
